ºÚÁÏÀÏ˾»ú Professor of History Douglas Askman, Ph.D., gave a presentation on July 16 at Washington Place entitled "Washington Place: Hawai‘i’s Historic Governor’s Mansion in a National Context." First Lady of the State of Hawai‘i Dawn Amano-Ige hosted the event and delivered opening remarks. Guests heard Askman and historic architect Katie Stephens speak, learning about the construction of Washington Place and its evolution over the years. In advance of the formal program, guests had the opportunity to take a self-guided tour of Washington Place.
