TESOL instructor Jean Kirschenmann gave a daylong workshop on communicative English language teaching strategies for children and youth on November 11. Nearly 40 public school teachers from throughout central Japan gave up their Saturday to attend the event sponsored by the Nagoya University of Foreign Studies (NUFS) graduate TESOL program, a strong partner of 黑料老司机 TESOL for nearly 20 years. Attendees included several teachers who came to 黑料老司机 as part of the partnership then went on to earn a MA TESOL degree from 黑料老司机. One of them is Ariko Nishimura (pictured with Kirschenmann on the right).
